Shoulder Blade Pain Common Causes

Shoulder blade pain is common especially after you do a physical activity. It is good idea to know the causes first to avoid or to get the right treatment for this pain between shoulder blades. It is because sometimes all you need to do is stop doing activities and take a rest or sometimes you can also use ice on the pain to relieve it. And sure, by knowing the causes you will also know how severe the pain is where it needs the right treatment from a doctor to heal it or it will get worse and worse.
Here are some of the common causes of shoulder blade pain. First, the common cause of this pain is because the overuses of the muscles of the shoulder. For example, when you lift up heavy things more and more or you push yourself to do too many activities with muscles of the shoulders just like tennis or even golf can lead the muscle strain and it makes pain in the shoulder. So, take care of yourself. Know your limit or the pain will get worse. Once you feel the pain, stop and take a rest. It will help.

It is just like the position when you put your head on an odd angle. So, be careful with the sleep position.

Fourth cause of shoulder blade pain is because of rotator cuff injury. Rotator cuff is an area in your shoulder. This injury common occurs among athletes. This injury refers to one or more of four muscles that make the rotator cuff are injured. And when one of the muscles is injured, the pain can also manifest on your shoulder blade.
